On March 24, 2026, SGS awarded XHEART (Suzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. ISO 26262:2018 ASIL B and ASIL D product certificates for X7, its first in-house ADAS SoC. The certificates indicate that the chip meets the relevant international functional safety requirements and is ready for mass-production applications. SGS Global Product Certification Chief Certification Officer Mark Lohmann, SGS directors Amy Kang, XHEART CEO Zonglin Li, SoC lead Guojun Yu and software lead Mingjun Jia attended the ceremony.
SGS awards XHEART ISO 26262:2018 ASIL B and ASIL D product certificates

ISO 26262:2018, Road vehicles—Functional safety, has guided the automotive and semiconductor industries for more than a decade. It sets requirements for safety management, design, implementation, testing and maintenance throughout development of automotive electrical and electronic systems. Conformance is an important way for automotive system manufacturers to demonstrate product safety and reliability.

As XHEART's core product, X7 is defined around large AI models. Its dedicated ultra-large-core NPU and innovative microarchitecture support approximately 10 times as many model parameters as general-purpose chips, significantly improving advanced urban intelligent driving performance. X7 is also among the first full-performance urban intelligent driving chips to support air cooling across all operating conditions. It sets a benchmark for comparable intelligent driving in combustion-engine and electric vehicles, enabling combustion-engine vehicles to offer a high-quality urban driving experience on par with new-energy vehicles.
SGS provided technical support throughout the project based on its automotive functional safety expertise. Both teams followed ISO 26262 requirements and addressed the X7 chip's ADAS use cases with standards interpretation, technical optimization, process review and verification. The work improved product quality and supported the development of China's intelligent driving compute platforms.
XHEART CEO Zonglin Li said at the ceremony:
“The X7 project took more than two years from initiation to certification, and close, effective collaboration between our teams was essential throughout. XHEART has always honored its responsibilities to its products and the industry. We refined product quality, overcame technical challenges, and upheld quality and compliance at every stage. That gives us a solid foundation for future mass-production delivery and market expansion.”
SGS Global Product Certification Chief Certification Officer Mark Lohmann said:
“X7 is XHEART's first in-house ADAS SoC. Its ISO 26262 functional safety certification directly reflects the company's technical capabilities and quality controls, and it would not have been possible without the close collaboration of both teams. We look forward to deepening our cooperation, combining SGS's international standards expertise with XHEART's innovation to help China's intelligent driving compute platforms achieve higher safety levels and better performance. This will create mutual benefit and advance the industry.”
